OLUREMI Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady has welcomes 2nd Lieutenant Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh, the first Nigerian female graduate of the United Kingdom (UK)’s Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst (RMAS) during a gathering at the State House on Monday.
According to a statement by the Nigerian Army, the First Lady received Owowoh, accompanied by Major General John Ochai, the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
Owowoh, aged 24, was among the 134 Officer cadets who graduated during RMAS’ sovereign’s parade in London on April 12.
Mrs. Tinubu expressed admiration for Owowoh’s remarkable achievement, describing it as outstanding and divinely guided.
She praised the Nigerian Army for providing opportunities for female excellence and encouraged young Nigerians to emulate Owowoh’s determination while advising against negative behaviours.
She also recommended Owowoh for a national award and urged her superiors to support her in becoming a positive model for youth advocacy.
Earlier, Major General John Ochai, the NDA Commandant, highlighted Owowoh’s historic accomplishment, noting that she distinguished herself among officer cadets from various countries who underwent training at RMAS.
