DAMAGES STRUCK Iran once again as a 3.7 magnitude earthquake jolted the region of Malayer in the Hamedan province on Monday morning.
Reports say that he seismic event, which occurred at 08:20:52 local time, sent tremors through the area, further deepening the nation’s sense of sorrow following the tragic loss of their President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.
According to reports from the Seismological Centre of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran, the earthquake’s epicenter was situated just 10 kilometers beneath the surface. Despite its intensity, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The affected region is in close proximity to several localities, including Samen, which is nine kilometers away, and both Malayer and Oshtorinan, which are 18 kilometers from the epicenter.
The country’s observers also state that the natural disaster compounds the grief already gripping the nation in the aftermath of their President shocking death who lost his life in a tragic accident near the Azerbaijan border, leaving the country in mourning, adding that as Iran grapples with these dual crises, communities are coming together to support those affected so they can collectively begin the process of recovery.
