IN ITS March 2024 report signaling a significant boost to its development endeavours, Akwa Ibom State has received an unprecedented allocation in the latest disbursement of funds.

This was revealed by the National Bureau of Statistics in its June 2024 report on the NBS X handle, as retrieved by jknewsmedia.com.

With a remarkable total net amount of over N41 billion, the state is poised to embark on transformative projects aimed at enhancing the lives of its citizens.

According to the NBS, the allocation includes substantial sums earmarked for critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

With prudent management and strategic planning, Akwa Ibom State is expected to leverage these funds effectively to drive inclusive growth and foster prosperity across its communities.

NBS also notes that this substantial allocation reflects the commitment of the federal government to support the development aspirations of states across Nigeria, as it signifies a renewed focus on empowering local governments and facilitating the equitable distribution of resources for the betterment of all citizens.
