THE OYO State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) announces it has closed its job application portal for public primary school teachers.
The portal received 52,423 applications before its closure.
Recall that JKNewsMedia has reported the portal opened on June 25, 2024, and closed on July 9, 2024.
Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the Executive Chairman of OYOSUBEB, announced the closure in a statement.
He expressed satisfaction with the number of applications, showing strong interest in working with the board.
“We are impressed by this response. It shows people are keen to work with us,” Adeniran said.
He explained the closure was necessary as the deadline had passed.
Adeniran said the team has started sorting the applications to select qualified candidates.
Only successful and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the board.
He said because the state Governor Seyi Makinde values the basic education sector, the board will handle the next steps carefully.
Adeniran advised applicants to ignore fake news about the recruitment process.
He urged them to check their emails and phones for updates.
The next stage is the CBT examination, and details will be sent to the candidates.
In a related event, the board announces it seeks to strengthen its relationship with the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board.
Hon. Akeem Ige, Chairman of the Pension Board, visited OYOSUBEB. Dr. Adeniran highlighted the need for collaboration to speed up the documentation of retired primary school teachers.
The pension board handles payments for retired local government staff, including teachers, so, working together with OYOSUBEB ensures better performance.
