Kyari Urges Dangote to Name NNPC Employees Allegedly Running Malta Plant

By Joke Kujenya

MELE KYARI, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, urged Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries, to disclose the identities of workers allegedly operating a blending plant in Malta.

Kyari insists these individuals should be reported to government security agencies for necessary actions.

Dangote accused some NNPC workers of establishing the blending plant, claiming it hinders local petroleum procurement.

Kyari responded via a tweet on X, stating, “I do not own or operate any business directly or by proxy anywhere in the world, except for a local mini Agric venture.

“I am unaware of any NNPC employee owning or operating a blending plant in Malta or elsewhere.”

Kyari emphasized that a blending plant in Malta has no influence on NNPC’s operations or strategies.

He assured that any NNPC employee involved in such activities would face the company’s compliance sanctions.

He urged that these individuals be publicly identified and reported to government agencies due to the serious implications for national energy security.

Kyari reiterated his innocence and called for transparency in addressing the allegations.
