A NEWLY established Think Tank and Resource Center, The Progressive Institute (TPI), is set to be unveiled by the All-Progressive Congress (APC) on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Abuja.

The event is set to begin at 10:00am at the Abuja Inter-Continental Hotel.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will perform the formal unveiling.

The National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, will host the occasion.

Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of The Progressives Governors’ Forum (TPGF), will deliver an inaugural lecture on ‘The Progressive Philosophy and its Programmatic Implications on Governance’.

The Director General of The Progressive Institute, Lanre Adebayo, PhD, emphasized that the event marks the official launch of TPI.

According to Adebayo, TPI was created as part of the APC’s strategy to improve leadership training, strengthen intra-party democracy, and enhance the party’s policymaking through independent research.

TPI, registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has received certification from the Ministries of Justice and Education.

The institute also aims to develop voter education initiatives to empower the Nigerian electorate as part of the APC’s broader goals.
