GLOBAL LEADERS must confront pressing moral issues that shape today’s world.
At the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima urged leaders to take decisive action rather than rely on rhetoric.
He emphasized the importance of international cooperation, particularly at a time when geopolitical tensions, climate change, and economic instability demand urgent attention.
Speaking in New York between September 24 and 30, Shettima highlighted the profound moral dilemmas facing the global community.
He called for solutions beyond speeches, stressing the need for genuine reforms that can keep the UN relevant in the modern era.
“Our world faces critical moral questions that cannot be resolved with words alone,” he declared.
His address underscored Nigeria’s longstanding commitment to diplomacy and global partnerships.
