NIGERIA’s 64TH Independence Day celebration served as a platform for Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, to announce local initiatives aimed at revitalizing the economy.
He revealed these plans during his address at the Arcade Ground, State Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The initiatives are designed to position Ogun as a key economic player within the country, he said.
His administration, under the ISEYA mantra, has prioritized infrastructure, social welfare, education, youth empowerment, and agriculture.
He also emphasized the importance of a democratic society where citizens are free to explore their full potential.
The governor urged citizens to continue supporting national development through hard work, honesty, and respect for authority, noting that President Bola Tinubu’s policies aim to address the consequences of previous governance failures.
He further highlighted significant achievements in agriculture, energy, transportation, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) over the last five years.
He also announced the launch of Gateway Trading Company to provide affordable food across Ogun’s four zones.
