GOVERNOR SIMINALAYI Fubara has expressed disappointment over the slow progress at Okrika Grammar School in Rivers State.

During a recent inspection, he noted that the renovations promised for the school have not met expectations.

The project aimed to remodel secondary schools across the state, but the governor was shocked by the reports he received from the Commissioner for Education.

Despite claims that 70 percent of the work was completed, the governor found the site lacking. He announced plans for an emergency meeting with the contractors to reinforce compliance with project specifications and deadlines.

He emphasized that he would personally oversee regular inspections of the construction moving forward.

He confirmed that all funds for the project had been released, ensuring no financial delays.

Alongside Okrika Grammar School, the governor visited other key infrastructure projects, including the Woji-Akpajo-Alesa-Eleme-Port Harcourt Refinery Road and bridge, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving the region’s educational and transport facilities.
