Gov Abiodun Awards New Contract for Awolowo Road Reconstruction

TO MEET urgent infrastructure needs, Governor Dapo Abiodun has re-awarded the contract for Awolowo Road reconstruction in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, following delays by the initial contractor due to health issues.

The project, now assigned to a new contractor, covers the route from Ilara in Remo North to Ilishan in Ikenne, expected to boost local connectivity and improve road conditions.

Governor Abiodun shared this development during the Afotamodi Day celebration in Isara-Remo.

In addition, the governor announced that Phase 3 of the Sagamu-Iperu-Ode-Saapade Road has been awarded, with assurances of timely completion.

Plans are also underway to construct a new road from Ode to Isara, set to commence as soon as the rains subside.

During the event, Abiodun expressed his gratitude to the Isara community, pledging to support local initiatives.

He also announced a donation of N20 million for Isara-Remo’s development and assured residents of his continued commitment to the area.

He added that he looks forward to joining the community for future festivals, reinforcing his dedication to their progress.

Oba Adebose Mayungbe, the Odemo of Isara-Remo, extended his appreciation to Governor Abiodun, highlighting the importance of these projects to the people and recognizing the governor’s dedication to improving Ogun State’s infrastructure.
