A NATIONWIDE campaign by leading personal care brand, NIVEA, has concluded successfully, impacting over 190,000 high school students.
Running from September 13 to November 28, the SABI Personal Hygiene Drive aimed to educate teenagers on the importance of personal hygiene, particularly underarm care and deodorant use.
Targeting students aged 13-18, the campaign reached more than 500 schools in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja.
Educators and NIVEA’s trained team visited these schools, delivering engaging lessons using the SABI Workbook, designed to teach students about body odour, hygiene practices, and deodorants.
Oluwadamilola Adeyemi, Marketing Activation Manager at NIVEA, noted that adolescence can be a challenging time for personal hygiene understanding.
The brand’s initiative provided accurate, age-appropriate information to empower young people.
Adeyemi also highlighted the introduction of NIVEA’s new affordable SABI roll-on products—Dry Impact and Dry Comfort in 25ml formats—designed for the financial realities of teenagers.
The drive also offered rewards, including the “SABI Star Award” for the neatest students, encouraging high hygiene standards.
Nnenna Onoh, Brand Manager for the Central East & West African Region, emphasised the long-term impact, stating that the initiative fosters a culture of good hygiene beyond the classroom.
She noted that by empowering students with hygiene education and affordable solutions, her company through NIVEA, is shaping the next generation’s attitude towards personal care.
