IN A STATEWIDE broadcast on Monday, Governor Siminalayi Fubara expressed profound gratitude to the citizens of Rivers State for their unwavering support and commitment to his administration while he also highlighted the shared sacrifices made for the peace and prosperity of the state and the nation.
He said it was also needful for him to use the medium to celebrate the collective achievements in infrastructure, health, education, workers’ welfare, agriculture, and social services.
Fubara spoke from the Government House where he specifically acknowledged the outgoing local government officials—chairmen, vice-chairmen, and councilors—whose statutory three-year terms concluded on June 17, 2024.
He commended their dedication and service and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.
To ensure continued leadership and order, the governor directed the Heads of Local Government Administration (HLGAs) to take immediate charge of the 23 council areas with renewed vigour while he assured the people of Rivers State of ongoing commitment to infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and welfare services.
“Together, we will continue to build a brighter and better future for all Rivers people,” the governor affirmed, urging the community to maintain unity, progress, and harmony.
