THE NIGERIAN National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) has firmly dismissed claims that an additional body was recovered from the helicopter crash that occurred last Thursday in Port Harcourt.
Addressing the reports on Sunday, NNPCL clarified that beyond the three bodies initially found in the wreckage of the helicopter, operated by East Winds Aviation, no further remains have been located.
NNPCL’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, emphasized that search and rescue operations remain active.
Collaborating closely with relevant authorities, NNPCL aims to bring the operation to a conclusive end for the benefit of families still awaiting news.
The helicopter, which went down under circumstances still under investigation, sparked an intensive rescue mission upon discovery.
