Lagos Gov’s Media Adviser Gets UNILORIN Alumni Award

SPECIAL ADVISER on Media and Publicity to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will receive the University of Ilorin Alumni Award on Monday.

Mr. Adegboyega Akosile, at the ceremony, will be honoured as part of the university’s 2024 Convocation events, taking place at the University’s Multipurpose Hall at 4.00pm.

The award recognizes exceptional alumni for their leadership, innovation, and community service.

A letter dated October 10, 2024, from Abdullateef Hussain, the National Social Secretary of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association, highlighted Akosile’s contributions as a reason for the honour.

The letter stated, “Your outstanding achievements and contributions to your field, as well as your commitment to the values of the University of Ilorin, have made you an exemplary candidate for this honour.”

Akosile is a multifaceted professional, recognized as a journalist, theatre practitioner, public relations expert, and entrepreneur.

Over the past five years, he has played a crucial role in media and perception management for Governor Sanwo-Olu, aligning with the government’s THEMES+ development agenda.

Akosile’s responsibilities include disseminating information about the Governor’s activities and collaborating with various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to promote Lagos State Government initiatives.

This award further acknowledges Akosile’s dedication and hard work in his field, reflecting the impact of his service to the community and the state.
