PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT results for implementing Nigeria’s Presidential Priorities and Ministerial Deliverables have revealed an 88% achievement score, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a report, the Foreign Affairs Ministry says covering the first to the third quarter of 2024, has affirms its efforts to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Ministry unveiled what it describes as key outcomes during a strategic engagement session led by the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman.
During the session which brought together the Permanent Secretary, Heads of Departments and Agencies under the Ministry, and the Presidential Coordination Unit team; discussions centred on improving accountability and achieving deliverables aligned with national priorities.
Also, the Ministry says its success stems from structured initiatives, such as a robust monitoring and reporting framework, monthly performance review meetings, and consistent training programs for staff.
It also says these measures have ensured seamless reporting and enhanced performance tracking across its operations.
Despite challenges however, including resource constraints and managing a globally dispersed workforce, the Ministry said it has shown resilience and adaptability.
At the engagement session, which highlighted its unwavering commitment to result-oriented service delivery while addressing systemic hurdles; the Ministry also reiterated the importance of transparency and teamwork in meeting its objectives.
Furthermore, it revealed the strengthened performance management approach serves as a model for sustainable results, with all stakeholders contributing to its success.
