UNCERTAINTY SURROUNDS the tragic death of a police constable who reportedly ended his life at the Mada Station Division in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area.

The officer, identified as Dogara Akolo Moses, was found dead on Tuesday, February 4, after shooting himself in one of the offices within the police facility.

Colleagues who saw him earlier that day said he had been carrying out his usual duties without any visible signs of distress.

The sudden gunshot from a private room inside the station sent officers rushing to the scene, only to find him in a pool of blood with his firearm beside him.

He left no suicide note, leaving many shocked and confused about his motive.

An eyewitness recounted how the gunshot startled everyone on duty.

“We heard the loud bang and ran to check. When we got there, we found him on the floor, lifeless,” the source said.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, stated that investigations were ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.

“We are working diligently to uncover the truth,” he assured.
