PRESIDENT BOLA Tinubu has approved new laws to drive development across Nigeria’s regions.
The North-West Development Commission (Establishment) Bill, 2024, and the South-East Development Commission (Establishment) Bill, 2023, received his assent.
The North-West Development Commission aims to rebuild roads, houses, and businesses damaged by crises. It will also address poverty, literacy, and ecological issues in the region.
The South-East Development Commission will focus on repairing roads and houses, tackling ecological problems, and other related challenges in the South-East states.
Tinubu emphasized his commitment to equitable development, inclusive governance, and quality services for all Nigerians, aiming to strengthen national unity.
