IT WAS a life-changing moment for Lagos contractor Ayobami Adejumobi who celebrated on Thursday as he received the keys to a brand-new Toyota Prado in Globacom’s ongoing Festival of Joy promotion.
The event, held at Gloworld on Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos, also saw several other Nigerians walk away with prizes including generators, sewing machines, grinding machines, and tricycles.
Adejumobi, a native of Osun State, shared his excitement after receiving the keys from Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat, who was the Special Guest of Honour.
“I doubted it at first, thinking it might be fraudsters. But then I remembered the promo and came to Gloworld. This car will elevate my status and boost my work as a civil engineering contractor,” he remarked.
Other winners included Bukola Olatunji, who won a tricycle, Ayodeji Olukunmi, who took home a generator, and Benue State native Daniel Eleh, who won a sewing machine.
They all expressed gratitude, with Olatunji vowing to continue participating in Globacom’s promotions and Olukunmi calling it a “joyful period.”
Deputy Governor Hamzat commended Globacom for the initiative, especially during challenging economic times, urging the company to expand the promotion in future.
“This brings hope to many Nigerians. May God bless Globacom,” he stated.
Globacom’s Divisional Head, West, Lawrence Odediran, explained that the promotion is open to both new and existing subscribers.
