REFLECTING ON two decades of marriage, Donald Trump and Melania Trump marked their 20th wedding anniversary with heartfelt tributes, coinciding with Trump’s second term as President of the United States.
On Instagram, Trump posted a poignant throwback photo from their January 22, 2005, wedding at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, followed by an extravagant reception at Mar-a-Lago.
“Celebrating 20 years with my beautiful wife and our incredible First Lady, Melania,” he wrote.
“You’re an extraordinary wife and a wonderful mother. Happy Anniversary, @FLOTUS!”
The post amassed over one million likes and an avalanche of congratulatory comments from supporters.
Melania Trump shared a touching tribute on her X account, reflecting on their journey together.
“There was an undeniable spark,” she said in a video message. “His confidence, charm, humour, and vision were magnetic.”
She described their wedding as a “beautiful affair” and fondly recalled wearing her iconic Dior gown. “It was truly a day to remember,” she added.
The couple’s enduring bond dates back to 1998 when they met at a New York party.
Melania, then an aspiring model, and Trump, a high-profile businessman, overcame a 24-year age gap to build a life together.
Their relationship has weathered both personal and public challenges over the years, solidifying their partnership.
The 2005 wedding was a star-studded event attended by high-profile figures, including Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
