OGUN STATE Governor Dapo Abiodun has praised African youth as the key to a new economic frontier.

He made this statement while hosting the Royal African Young Leadership Forum members in Abeokuta on Thursday night.

This forum is an initiative by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Governor Abiodun lauded Oba Ogunwusi for fostering a new wave of leadership in Africa.

He emphasized that the forum members’ energy and creativity will help reshape the continent.

He stated, “Young men and women are catalysts for Africa’s economic transformation.

The Ooni of Ife has initiated more than just a forum; it’s a leadership movement.

With your energy and innovative thinking, you are the leaders of Africa today.”

The governor urged the youth to remain driven, spirited, and resolved.

He highlighted the importance of associations where ideas are exchanged across different countries.

“Your age group, from 40 years and below, makes up 65% to 70% of the global population,” he noted.

Tomisin Olawale, Director of the Royal Forum, mentioned that the group has facilitated transactions worth N300 billion in the past three years.

He affirmed that forum members are shaping a new Africa and driving its economic progress.
