The event, themed “Building Sustainable and Relevant Tertiary Education Institutions and Systems in Africa,” will run from November 26 to 28, 2024, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The conference aims to strengthen international collaborations to address the challenges facing higher education across Africa.
It will promote thought leadership, facilitate networking opportunities, and showcase innovative educational tools.
Hosted in partnership with Nigeria’s Federal Government and the Ministry of Education, the event seeks to drive impactful conversations among stakeholders.
Over 200 senior leaders, including vice-chancellors, policymakers, industry experts, and influential students from Africa and the UK, will participate.
The discussions will focus on fostering stronger partnerships and aligning tertiary education systems with Africa’s evolving needs.
This regional edition builds on the British Council’s legacy of nearly two decades of global conferences, reaffirming the UK’s commitment to supporting Sub-Saharan Africa’s educational growth.
