A STRATEGIC partnership has been entered by the Lagos State with Yihai Kerry Arawana Holdings Co. Limited (YKA), a China-based company, to expand rice production at the Imota facility in Ikorodu.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu shared this announcement on Thursday through his official X account.
The agreement, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both parties, aims to strengthen the rice value chain in the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that this collaboration is designed to make a tangible impact on rice production and processing.
YKA will contribute technical expertise, modern farming practices, and advisory services to enhance the efficiency of rice milling.
The support provided will ensure the use of advanced agricultural techniques, improving both yield and quality.
This partnership will also involve comprehensive training for local farmers to help them adopt these methods.
