STRONGER PROFESSIONAL alliances in Nigeria’s financial sector took centre stage as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) engaged Union Bank in discussions on collaboration and professional growth.
A delegation from ICAN visited Stallion Plaza, the bank’s head office, to explore opportunities for partnership and capacity-building initiatives.
Led by its President, Chief Davidson C.S. Alaribe FCA, the ICAN team included Dr. Olumide Adedeji FCA, President of Lagos District, and other distinguished members.
The Union Bank team, headed by Chief Financial Officer Mr. Oluwagbenga Adeoye FCA, featured Dr. Abigail Duopama-Obomanu, Chief Compliance Officer; Mr. Ali Kadiri FCA, Head of Corporate Banking; and Mr. Victor Ikeneku FCA, Head of Business Assurance.
Chief Alaribe underscored the importance of fostering ethical standards and professional excellence, while Mr. Adeoye reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the development of accountants and ICAN members.
Both institutions pledged to strengthen ties in advancing financial sector best practices.
