TOLLING BEGINS on Ogun’s Rebuilt Epe-Mojoda-Ijebu-Ode Expressway March 24

Motorists using the Epe-Mojoda-Ijebu-Ode Expressway will begin paying tolls from Monday, March 24, 2025, as the Ogun State Government rolls out a structured tolling system for the 14.7 km highway.

Governor Dapo Abiodun said his administration is poised to transform the road into a modern expressway, equipping it with toll booths and essential facilities to ensure smooth traffic flow and enhanced safety.

The Director-General of the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, Hon. Dapo Oduwole, stated on Wednesday that tolling was initially delayed due to the governor’s commitment to easing the financial burden on residents.

He emphasised that the expressway serves as a critical economic link between Lagos and Ogun, making its maintenance a priority.

While road users are expected to comply with toll payments, exemptions apply to emergency vehicles, government security units, and designated Ogun State officials, the governor said.

He said that authorities also assured commuters of seamless travel, warning that enforcement measures would however be strictly applied.
