CUSTOMER FOCUSED Valentine activities headline Wema Bank’s 2026 campaign following the launch of “ALAT The Evolution”, its upgraded digital banking platform, as the lender unveiled “Evolution of Love, powered by Wema Bank”.

JKNewsMedia.com reports the bank as stating that the campaign draws inspiration from the evolution theme of the enhanced ALAT app and aims to celebrate different forms of love experienced by customers and how those experiences have changed over time.

In a statement, the bank said the initiative highlights self-love, friendship, romantic love and family relationships, while creating space for every customer during the Valentine season.

“Evolution of Love, powered by Wema Bank” invites new and existing customers across four categories comprising singles for self-love, friends for friendship, married couples and those getting married in February for romantic love.

The bank stated that participants must create a Love Goal on the ALAT app and submit a one-minute video on any social media platform explaining how their love journey has evolved.

It added that gifts vary by category and include cash, spa vouchers, vacations and expense paid getaways.

One couple getting married in February will receive a special performance at their wedding from a celebrity artiste, courtesy of Wema Bank.

Announcing the campaign, the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Moruf Oseni outlined the approach to Valentine’s celebrations.

He said, “Love is central to the delivery of true customer centric service, and as a Bank that prides itself on being customer centric, this is reflected in the thought, intentionality and commitment we put into all we do at Wema Bank.

It has always been clear how much we care about our customers and this year, we decided to celebrate the journey of love across different categories that reflect the different experiences and realities of our customers, from friends and couples who have grown together over the years to lovers taking the bold step of marriage and even singles because self-love is crucial”.

He added, “This Valentine’s, we chose to acknowledge the beauty of every love journey, and we are inviting all new and existing customers who have a story to share.

For the friends and singles, our goal is to promote true friendship and self-love.

For families and married couples, our goal is to strengthen bonds by reminding them of how far they have come. For those intending to get married, we are adding one more memorable touch to their wedding with a special artiste performance.

Our ultimate goal is for every Wema Bank customer to feel loved this season and beyond”.

The bank encouraged interested customers to create a one-minute video sharing their love journey and, where applicable, feature the person with whom their love has evolved.

It directed that entries be posted on social media using the hashtag #ALATEvolutionofLove and tagging @alat_ng and @wemabank.

To qualify, customers must activate SAW, the Voice Banking virtual assistant on the upgraded ALAT app, create a personal or group goal named Love Goal, fund the goal and transact with their ALAT or Wema card between February 1 and February 10.

The bank also said further qualification details are available at wemabank.com/love.
