MARKING a significant stride towards broader continental coverage, ARISE News Channel says it has extended its reach into Southern African, now broadcasting in ten new countries.

In a press release shared with the media, the cable news network said its presence has expanded to South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, as part of a partnership with Multichoice/DSTV, accessible on Channel 416.

Chief of Staff to Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of ARISE News channel, Fauziya Ali Mohammed, affirmed the network’s commitment to providing comprehensive coverage across Africa.

Mohammed said that with the latest development, the channel is not accessible in 54 African countries but prior to that, the network had already captured audiences in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Cameroon, Sudan, Ghana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and other Francophone nations.

Founded over a decade ago, ARISE, as a news channel has garnered acclaim for its Emmy-winning content, distinguishing itself as Africa’s premier broadcaster on a global scale, covering a spectrum of topics including Business, Politics, Technology, Commerce, Science, Sports, Showbusiness and Fashion.

Mohammed also said that the channel serves as a platform for projecting the continent’s diversity and dynamism to international audiences.

Emphasizing the network’s mission to redefine Africa’s narrative on the world stage, the Chairman/Editor-in-Chief, Nduka Obaigbena, expressed determination to emulate the impact of renowned international broadcasters.

Saying: “We shall continually showcase the emerging African century where Nigeria and other African countries will be some of the leading economies around the world,” Obaigbena affirmed.

Also highlighting the strategic importance of the expansion into Southern Africa, Obaigbena commended the Multichoice for its visionary collaboration.

This move, he stated, solidifies ARISE’ position as a leading voice in African broadcasting, underlining its commitment to celebrating Africa’s achievements and potentials.

Obaigbena also notes that, “Operating round the clock, ARISE broadcasts from multiple studios across Africa, Europe, and the United States, providing a global perspective on African affairs.

“Viewers can access the channel through various platforms including Sky Channel 516 and Freeview in the United Kingdom, the Centric channel in the United States of America, and the Hot Bird platform spanning Europe, North African, and the Middle East,” Obaigbena adds that ARISE news channel reaches streaming audiences worldwide via the ARISE Play platform,

He said the expansion into Southern Africa marks a milestone for the channel underscoring its ambition to become the leading voice of Africa on the global dais.
