There’s a breaking report of gas explosion at the Mobil Filling Station on Awolowo Way, Ikeja in Lagos, Thursday morning.

Photos show the aftermath of the incident, but details remain unclear.

The road is temporarily closed to traffic.

About four vehicles were burned, excluding the gas tanker, pump station, and nearby buildings.

Eyewitnesses suggest that the fire might have started at the Mobil petrol station nearby. However, the actual cause remains unknown as of the time of publishing this report.

Also, the full extent of the damage caused by the fire is still unclear, and emergency responders have not yet reached the scene.

Residents and local businesses are advised to stay away from the area to allow emergency services and fire brigades to handle the situation efficiently.

This is a developing report …

Damages recorded after the Lagos State Fire Fighters intervention.
