Delta Governor Expresses Condolences Over Junior Pope’s Boat Mishap

REACTING to the mishap involving Nollywood Actor, the late Junior Pope and three others, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended his deepest sympathies to the families affected by the sad incident.

He described the deaths as both excruciating and unfortunate.

Obovrewori emphasized the state government’s profound sorrow over the untimely loss of lives in the accident.

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon in Asaba, the governor called upon Nollywood fans and stakeholders to come to terms with the devastating loss, viewing it as an unfortunate occurrence.

“In this time of mourning, our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, and associates of the victims and I pray for the family to find the strength to cope with this profound tragedy,” said the governor.

The governor also highlighted the importance of adhering to safety measures, suggesting that the tragedy might have been averted had proper precautions been taken, urging all involved parties to prioritize safety protocols to prevent further incidents.

He also sent outpour of support and solidarity to the Nollywood community and families affected by the heartbreaking event, Governor Obovrewori said he is reiterating his state’s commitment to standing with those in times of distress.
