Easter: Senate President Encourages Humility and Love

AS THE world commemorates Easter, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has delivered a heartfelt message urging Christians to embody the spirit of humility, love and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus Christ.

In his Easter message conveyed through his Special Adviser of Media and Publicity, Hon Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio extended warn congratulations to Christians both at home and in the Diaspora for completing the lent and observing another Easter.

Akpabio emphasized the importance of following Christ’s example of selflessness, stating, “Just as Jesus Christ, in His humility and love, offered Himself for the redemption of mankind, I admonish us all to emulate Him and make sacrifices for one another.”

He underscored the centrality of love in Christian life, urging believers to radiate love in every aspect of their lives, particularly this Easter season.

“Let us show love to one another, our neighbours, our leaders, and our dear country,” Akpabio urged, emphasizing that displaying love towards leaders and the nation is essential for national unity and progress.

Furthermore, Akpabio called for continued prayer for Nigeria’s advancement, asserting, “As we celebrate, let us not forget to pray too. Let us continue praying for the betterment of our nation and our leaders, and with God listening to us, Nigeria will begin to be great again.”
