RISING POLITICAL tension now surrounds Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency as the general election draws closer, with the contest widely seen as a make or mar moment for the area.

JKNewsMedia.com reports that the constituency is described as yearning for more quality representation than what is presently obtainable.

However, attention has focused on the current House of Representatives member, Tajudeen Kareem Abisodun, who is said to have fallen out of favour among people within the Oke Ogun political space.

The development has shaped the unfolding contest within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Twelve aspirants from the APC have now stepped forward, lining up to take over the House of Representatives seat for the constituency.

These numbers of contenders reflect the level of interest and the significance attached to the position within the constituency.

Among those seeking to represent the constituency is Hon Ismail Adewoyin PhD, described as being more rooted in grassroots politics than many of the other aspirants contesting for the seat.

His involvement in local political engagement is noted as being presented as a defining feature in the ongoing race.

Hon Adewoyin is also described as passionate about the development of his constituency, Oke Ogun, and Oyo State in general.

His interest in the growth and advancement of the area forms part of his profile among the aspirants seeking to emerge as the party’s candidate.

A statement issued notes that the contest within the APC has continued to draw attention as aspirants position themselves ahead of the general election, with the constituency at the centre of heightened political activity.
