HAVING SECURED the 2025 Development Bank of Nigeria Innovation Award in the Deposit Money Bank category, Fidelity Bank Plc has reinforced its position as a leading driver of inclusive financial solutions for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across Nigeria.
The award, conferred at the Service Ambassadors’ Awards ceremony in Lagos, recognised the bank’s cutting-edge contributions towards scaling MSME resilience and growth.
It stands as a testament to Fidelity Bank’s efforts in building accessible, technology-driven services tailored to the unique needs of Nigerian entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the accolade, Dr Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank, reiterated the institution’s strategic focus on small business empowerment.
She described innovation as central to Fidelity’s mission of enabling sustainable enterprise development and dedicated the award to the bank’s customers.
The event, themed ‘Enhancing Partnership for MSME Resilience and Growth,’ brought together key financial players supporting small business transformation.
DBN Managing Director Tony Okpanachi commended partners such as Fidelity Bank for their pivotal role in converting unbankable ideas into thriving ventures through advisory and financing support.
The Innovation Award aligns with Fidelity Bank’s broader agenda for MSME development.
In May, the bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria to support enterprise expansion across African markets.
It also launched the Fidelity SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos—a multifunctional facility offering capacity-building, content creation, and collaboration infrastructure tailored to small businesses.
