Fidelity Bank Enhances Healthcare and Water Access in Tudun Amba Community

IN A BOOST to local healthcare and infrastructure, Fidelity Bank Plc has revitalized the Primary Healthcare Clinic in Workers Village, Tudun Amba Community, Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

Addressing the pressing issue of water scarcity, the bank also installed new water facilities to ensure a reliable water supply for the community.

At the inauguration ceremony, Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communication at Fidelity Bank, highlighted the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.

He stressed that the project was part of the bank’s broader mission to improve living standards in the areas it serves.

“The dignity of every individual is a shared responsibility,” Nwagboh stated. “This project reflects our ongoing efforts to positively impact communities across Nigeria. We are grateful for the cooperation from local leaders and the community at large, and we remain dedicated to initiatives that help individuals thrive.”

Gaza Gwamna, Nasarawa State’s Commissioner of Health, lauded Fidelity Bank for its contributions.

Represented by John Damina, the Permanent Secretary of the Health Ministry, Gwamna reiterated the state government’s support for partnerships with commercial banks to enhance local economies and improve public services.

“I encourage the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency to utilize this facility efficiently. Proper management will inspire further investments from the private sector, benefiting more communities across the state,” Damina remarked.

In a statement issued on this development, Fidelity Bank’s CSR efforts has been in alignment with its reputation as one of Nigeria’s premier financial institutions; serving over 8.5 million customers through 251 business offices in Nigeria and the UK, the bank continues to lead with its robust digital banking services.

The bank is also reported to have garnered numerous accolades, including Export Finance Bank of the Year at the 2023 BusinessDay Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards, Best Payment Solution Provider Nigeria 2023, Best SME Bank Nigeria 2022 by the Global Banking and Finance Awards, Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria by Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2023, and Best Domestic Private Bank in Nigeria by Euromoney Global Private Banking Awards 2023, among others.
