ACCESS TO financing through Fidelity Bank’s FundHer Programme has helped Akara Café develop Pavillon, a premium sub-brand that marks a new phase in the business’s expansion in Abuja.

JKNewsMedia.com reports that the funding enabled the business to meet some of the costs associated with developing the new venture while preserving working capital for the continued operations of Akara Café.

Martha Essienanwan E., who shared the business’s experience, said the expansion presented an opportunity to introduce a premium expression of the Akara Café brand but required a significant financial commitment.

She explained that the business had to balance investment in the new venture with the resources needed to sustain its existing operations, making access to financing particularly valuable.

Through FundHer, Akara Café secured additional funding to support its expansion plans, providing the financial flexibility to pursue the opportunity without placing unnecessary pressure on its day-to-day operations.

Beyond the financial assistance, Essienanwanwan highlighted the support received throughout the process, particularly from the business’s Account Manager, Ms Racheal.

She described Racheal as responsive and supportive, noting that her guidance made the financing process easier and more seamless during a period that involved several aspects of the expansion.

Pavillon, the newest Akara Café branch in Abuja, represents the business’s ambition to extend its brand into a premium space and explore new opportunities for growth.

Essienanwanwan said establishing the new location required careful planning, investment and commitment, adding that access to appropriate financial support helped the business take the step from an idea to a physical establishment.

She described the launch as more than the addition of another location, saying it reflected the company’s growth, ambition and willingness to explore new possibilities.

JKNewsMedia.com also reports that the reflecting on the journey, she noted that business growth often comes through a series of deliberate decisions, with access to financing at the right time helping businesses pursue opportunities and sustain their existing operations.

She expressed gratitude to Fidelity Bank for supporting Akara Café through the FundHer programme, adding that the business remained focused on expanding its brand, creating memorable experiences and exploring further opportunities.

She also said that Akara Café, Pavillon represents a new chapter in its development, with the business viewing the premium venture as the beginning of further possibilities.
