EXCITEMENT SWEEPS across Nigeria as four subscribers to Globacom’s Play Up Lottery have each claimed N1 million in life-changing cash prizes.

The telecommunications company described the lottery as a festive gesture of appreciation to loyal subscribers, combining entertainment with opportunities for substantial financial rewards.

Globacom stated that winners are selected through a transparent raffle draw conducted across multiple regions, followed by a verification process to confirm ownership of the winning entries.

Also, subscribers are encouraged to continue participating, with multiple opportunities to win further prizes.

Engineer Edward Worgu, 48, from Port Harcourt, described his win as a timely blessing. “I honestly didn’t believe it at first,” he said.

“But after a persistent Glo customer care representative contacted me, I decided to travel to the Lagos regional office. It turned out to be true!

“My wife is currently on hospital admission, and this money will go a long way towards her treatment. It’s a miracle I didn’t see coming.”

From Ondo State, 68-year-old Mr. Akindele Ayenugba recounted his journey to claim the prize as “nothing short of divine.”

He said, “I came all the way from Ondo despite not being financially buoyant.

“At first, I was doubtful, but when I arrived at the Glo office and everyone began congratulating me, I knew it was real. Indeed, God is great.”

In Owerri, Imo State, 39-year-old Mr. Esobe Ugwuogo expressed his joy at finally winning after persistent participation.

“I’ve been playing for some time, so when I got the call, I was overjoyed. Thank you, Globacom, for bringing such happiness into my life.

“I’ll be telling everyone about this million-naira win and other exciting Glo rewards. Truly, Glo delivers on its promises.”

Mr. Akintayo Boluwatife, 28, from Ibadan, also joined the winners’ circle, describing the victory as “life-changing and unforgettable.”

Globacom explained that the Play Up Lottery allows subscribers to transform small predictions into significant rewards. Participants choose a number between 1 and 9 for a chance to win, either by dialing *400# on any Glo line or sending the selected number via SMS to 400.

Each entry costs ₦100, with options to play daily or on demand.

The company conducts live draws every Friday at 4 p.m. at its Head Office, where weekly winners receive ₦1 million each. At the end of each month, one lucky subscriber takes home the grand prize of N10 million.

Winners are celebrated at their nearest Glo regional office, with prizes credited directly to their MoneyMaster Wallet accounts, ensuring a secure and transparent process.

Globacom emphasised that the lottery is designed to bring joy and excitement to Nigerians while offering a seamless and fair reward experience. The company encouraged continued participation, highlighting that even a single lucky number could transform lives.
