Fubara expressed gratitude for the support from the people of Egbeda and the broader Emohua LGA. He pledged that his administration would continue to deliver the “dividends of democracy,” including essential services and infrastructure projects. “We owe you service to our people,” Fubara declared, emphasizing the importance of meeting the community’s needs efficiently and effectively.

Responding to community requests, Fubara committed to extending the road from Egbeda to Omerelu and upgrading the local secondary school, albeit without boarding facilities due to security concerns.

He emphasized his openness to transparent governance, stating that all his actions were documented and approved, ready for scrutiny at any time.

His Delta State counterpart, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who officiated the inauguration, praised Fubara’s dedication to infrastructure development and noted that the new roads would significantly enhance economic opportunities and connectivity for the people of Egbeda and Emohua.

Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Ministry of Works, Engr. Atemea Briggs, detailed the project’s scope, which expanded from an initial 9.32 kilometers of road to 21.5 kilometers, with a corresponding increase in drainage infrastructure.

The project, initially awarded by the previous administration, was significantly augmented under Fubara’s leadership, with the total cost rising to N12 billion.
