CONCERNS FOR food security have driven Globacom to launch M-Agric, a service aimed at enhancing agricultural practices in Nigeria.

This initiative, developed in partnership with the Lagos State Government, provides Nigerians with practical guidance on managing successful farming operations across livestock, aquaculture, cash crops, and value-added processes.

Globacom’s collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture (LASG) focuses on empowering young Nigerians to enter the farming sector.

M-Agric offers valuable tips on growing food and boosting income, encouraging a new generation to engage in agriculture.

Subscribers can access agricultural advice daily, weekly, or monthly via their mobile devices.

The service also features a lottery where participants answer trivia questions about agriculture to win cash prizes, farm equipment, and internships.

Subscription costs are N50 per day, N200 per week, and N500 per month, with a free trial available for new and existing Globacom customers for one day.

The lottery rewards top performers based on their trivia answers. Globacom will divide the best quiz takers into two winners, each receiving significant prizes.

Prospective users can join the service by dialing 207912# and following the instructions.
