DREAMS TURNED into reality for several Nigerians as telecom giant Globacom rewarded loyal customers with brand-new Kia Picanto cars, power generators, sewing machines, and grinding machines in its ongoing Festival of Joy promotion.

The latest prize presentation in Ibadan, Oyo State, saw winners expressing shock and gratitude as they received their rewards.

One of the car winners, Adeola Olatayo Silas, a quantity surveyor, could hardly contain his excitement.

“Wow, wow!” he repeatedly exclaimed upon seeing the sleek vehicle that was now his.

Silas, a long-time Globacom subscriber, had always hoped to win in the company’s promotions.

“I am so delighted my desire has today become a reality,” he said, overwhelmed by the moment.

For Seun Okeowo, a media practitioner and the second car recipient, the win felt like destiny.

He said he had followed the Festival of Joy promotion closely and wished to be among the lucky ones.

“I prayed for this, and today, it has happened. May God continue to bless Globacom for spreading happiness across Nigeria,” he said.

Other winners also received life-changing prizes. P

astor Oluwole Abayomi from Akure, who won a power generator, initially doubted the authenticity of the call from Globacom.

“My brother warned me to be careful—it could be a scam or even a kidnapping ploy,” he revealed.

However, his fears disappeared when he saw the official presentation. He offered prayers for the company’s continued success.

Oluwole Babatunde Olusegun, an Ibadan-based teacher, won a sewing machine and saw it as an opportunity for his family.

“My wife and children will learn fashion design with this. But my next target is winning a car,” he said, hopeful for another chance.

Similarly, Waheed Azeez, a trailer driver, secured a grinding machine, which he plans to hand over to his wife for a milling business.

Oyo State Deputy Governor, Chief Adebayo Lawal, who graced the event as the Special Guest, commended Globacom for its generosity.

“This company continues to empower Nigerians through reward initiatives like Festival of Joy. I have witnessed their goodwill many times. It is commendable, and I wish other companies would follow suit,” he stated.

Globacom’s Head of Business, West, Abdulazak Ande, outlined how subscribers could participate in the promo.

He urged new and existing customers to dial *611#, opt into the offer, and recharge regularly to qualify for different prize categories.

New subscribers can enter immediately by purchasing and registering a new SIM before dialing the code.

The event also attracted notable personalities, including officials from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), led by Engr. Akinwale Akanbi.

Brand influencers and Nollywood stars such as Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Bimbo Thomas, and comedian Seyi Law also attended, celebrating with the winners.
