NIGERIANS HEADING to Saudi Arabia for Hajj now have access to specially discounted data and voice roaming rates, courtesy of Globacom’s latest offer.
The telecommunications provider has rolled out a series of competitively priced packages designed to ease communication for pilgrims and other travellers during their stay in the Kingdom.
The company stated that subscribers will benefit from seamless roaming services, including voice and data bundles, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity with loved ones back home.
Globacom confirmed that its latest initiative provides customers with “the best value for money” by allowing them to browse the internet and make voice calls using a single roaming bundle.
The packages are structured to suit various budgets and durations of stay. For a daily rate of ₦2,500, customers receive 100MB of data and five minutes of call time. A ₦5,000 option offers 250MB and 10 minutes of voice calls.
Travellers staying longer can opt for a ₦10,000 bundle featuring 1GB of data valid for 10 days or a ₦25,000 package offering 2.5GB over 30 days.
The most extensive plan, priced at ₦50,000, delivers 6GB of roaming data and remains active for 60 days.
In addition to the prepaid bundles, users also have the freedom to opt for a pay-as-you-go model. Under this plan, customers will pay ₦30 per megabyte for browsing, ₦350 per minute for calls to Nigeria, ₦270 for local calls within Saudi Arabia, and ₦50 for each local SMS sent.
Globacom assured subscribers that they can activate any bundle before departure, with automatic activation upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. To subscribe, users simply dial *312#, select option 8 for roaming, and follow the prompts.
The offer is open not only to pilgrims performing Hajj but also to all Globacom subscribers visiting Saudi Arabia for business or leisure, reflecting the brand’s commitment to affordable and accessible international communication services.
