News Introduction: Analysts have recommended removing more than 70 per cent of 84 pieces of harmful AI-generated content identified for damaging reputations and misleading the public ahead of the elections.
News Report:
YESTERDAY, OUR tracking established the need to unpublish a number of artificial intelligence-generated content created by stakeholders ahead of the elections.
In the current tracking, we report that, out of 84 pieces of content identified as damaging reputations and confusing the public ahead of the elections, our analysts recommend unpublishing over 70% because of their negative impact across social media platforms where they have been shared in recent weeks. Our analysts also recommend removing content with moderate impact.
We equally encourage the public to be wary of synthetic images, texts, audio and videos ahead of the elections. We urge everyone to scrutinise every aspect of received messages through a critical lens.

Explaining The Charts:
▪️In the first chart, we see that analysts show recommended unpublishing 70.23% of high-impact AI content, compared with 11.90% of low-impact content and 17.85% of moderate-impact content.
▪️While the second chart shows that 21.96% of 305 AI content items assessed for cross-platform spread were recommended for removal, while 78.03% were recommended for publication.
▪️Another important distinction is that the 70.23% figure represents the proportion of high-impact content recommended for removal, not necessarily the proportion of all 84 pieces.
▪️Since the chart does not provide the exact number of high-impact items, it cannot be broadly assumed that more than 70% of all 84 pieces were flagged in order to play safe for our audience to understand.
