IGP Assigns Newly Appointed PROs to Positions Across Nigeria

TOWARDS enhancing community engagement and strategic communication within the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Inspector-General Kayode Egbetokun has approved the deployment of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) to their designated places of assignments.

The list includes appointment of a Deputy Force Police Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The announcement was made by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, via the official Nigerian police social media platform on Saturday.

Adejobi emphasized that the objective of this development is to bolster communication channels across different commands and formations, fostering stronger ties with the public.

In his statement, Adejobi urged the appointed officers to carry out their duties with professionalism and dedication, stressing the importance of building and maintaining positive relationships with members of the public.

IGP Egbetokun reiterated his commitment to the ongoing process of standardizing and repositioning the force to align with his vision statement, while extending his best wishes to the newly appointed officers, expressing his confidence in their abilities to excel in their new roles.

Newly appointed officer and their positions are thus listed:

  • CPS Isuku Victor Edailoku, Deputy Force PRO, Force Hq, Abuja
  • DSP Ukandu Joshua, PPRO Ebonyi
  • ASP Buhari Abdullahi, PRO Gomber
  • ASP John Timfon, PPRO Akwa-Ibom
  • ASP Hundeyin Isaac Sewanu, PPRO Ports Authority Police (Western) Lagos.

The statement notes that these appointments mark a significant step in the ongoing efforts to enhance communication and community relations within the Nigeria Police Force, as it continues o strive for excellence in service delivery across the nation.
