PRESIDENT BOLA Tinubu on Thursday presided over a meeting of the National Security Council (SEC) at the State House, where he received briefings on the security situation across the country.
JKNewsMedia.com reports that top military officers led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, briefed the President during the meeting.
Service chiefs and heads of security and intelligence agencies, including the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Department of State Services (DSS), also presented the latest security developments in their respective formations.
The meeting took place at the President’s office and was attended by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the Special Adviser to the President on Homeland Security, Major General Adeyinka Famadewa, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Akomaye Undiandeye.
Also present were the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi.
