THE ISRAELI Defense Forces (IDF) vowed to launch a series of powerful strikes across the Middle East after Iran fired 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday night.

The attack triggered 1,800 rocket sirens across the country, sending Israelis into shelters as tensions in the region reached a dangerous peak.

In the aftermath of the strike, a Palestinian worker from Gaza was killed by falling rocket fragments in the West Bank city of Jericho, according to Israeli reports.

United States National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan confirmed the Biden administration is closely monitoring the situation, including the civilian casualty.

A building in north Tel Aviv suffered a direct hit, injuring three people, according to Magen David Adom (MDA).

Strikes also hit a home in Tel Sheva, while a Chabad school in Gedera narrowly avoided a disaster after being struck just hours after students had left.

Other affected areas included Dimona, Beersheba, and Rishon Lezion, as Israeli air defenses intercepted dozens of missiles flying over Syria.

The IDF has warned that it will retaliate forcefully, as tensions escalate further across the region.
