THE Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has released its latest weather forecast spanning from Friday to Sunday, predicting a blend of cloudiness and sunshine across the nation.

In the north, a sunny outlook with a hazy atmosphere is projected for Friday, except for Taraba State, where pockets of clouds may appear. Meanwhile, the North Central region is expected to experience a mix of sunny and cloudy conditions.

Moving to the southern region, a cloudy atmosphere is anticipated, with the likelihood of morning thunderstorms particularly over parts of Cross River and Akwa Ibom states.

Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected over various states including Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo, Delta, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Abia and Imo.

On Saturday, NiMet predicts sunny skies with a hazy atmosphere in the north, with possible afternoon and evening thunderstorms over parts of Kaduna state.

The North Central region is expected to see a similar pattern with patches of clouds in the morning. By afternoon, isolated thunderstorms are likely over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi and Plateau states. Meanwhile, the southern region is forecasted to have a cloudy atmosphere interspersed with intervals of sunshine. There’s also a chance of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers states during the morning hours.
