GLOBAL RECOGNITION deepened as Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, led a high-level delegation to Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited’s exhibition booth at the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025).
The visit demonstrated the company’s commitment to global partnerships, energy equity, and sustainable investment.
Welcomed by Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe, alongside other senior executives, Engr. Ojulari’s appearance underscored NNPC’s strategic engagement at one of the world’s most influential energy gatherings.
The Chairman of the Board of NNPC Limited and other board members were also present, reflecting unified leadership and solid backing for the company’s international initiatives.
Earlier, the GCEO attended a closed-door session of the Global Oil Club, a prestigious forum bringing together leading energy companies and institutions.
Addressing participants, Engr. Ojulari stressed the urgency of eradicating energy poverty across Africa through collaborative and innovative approaches. He called for co-investment models that would help de-risk the continent’s energy infrastructure and unlock shared economic prosperity.
“Africa’s energy future must be built on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion. NNPC Limited stands ready to co-create solutions that will deliver real impact,” the GCEO stated.
Themed “Energy. Intelligence. Impact.”, ADIPEC 2025 aligns closely with NNPC’s ongoing transformation into a commercially driven, global energy company.
Throughout the opening day, Engr. Ojulari engaged in strategic discussions with global energy leaders, exploring collaborative opportunities in gas infrastructure development, decarbonisation initiatives, and upstream investment.
These engagements reflected NNPC’s proactive drive to position Nigeria as a critical player in the evolving global energy landscape.
Also representing the company, Executive Vice President, Upstream, Mr. Udy Ntia, participated in the Global Strategy Session titled Beyond the Barrel: The Future of Upstream Strategy.
In his contribution, Ntia reaffirmed NNPC’s readiness to co-invest in sustainable, industry-wide solutions while expanding Nigeria’s oil and gas output in line with national and regional energy objectives.
“NNPC Limited remains committed to enhancing upstream capacity and enabling an inclusive approach to energy development that benefits all stakeholders,” he said.
The NNPC Limited exhibition booth continued to draw widespread attention from global delegates and investors, showcasing an impressive portfolio of transformative projects.
These included major gas infrastructure developments, methane reduction programmes, and new investments in clean energy and human capital advancement.
