THE TRAGIC fuel tanker explosion at Dikko-Maje Junction, along the Abuja-Kaduna Road in Niger State, has claimed multiple lives and left others injured.

The incident occurred when residents attempted to scoop petrol from the fallen tanker.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the victims’ families.

During a visit to the General Hospital in Sabon Wuse, NNPC Ltd’s Executive Vice President, Downstream, Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi, described the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy.

He prayed for the souls of the deceased and a swift recovery for the injured.
