ON A campaign mission to promote a smoke-free environment within Nollywood, Dr. Shaibu Husseini, the Executive Director of the National Film and Videos Censors Board (NFVCB), accompanied by his management team, paid a courtesy visit to Emeka Mbah, CEO of Afia TV, in Enugu.

During the visit, Dr. Husseini lauded Mbah, who is also a former Director General of the NFVCB for his significant contributions and lasting impact on the Board.

Husseini expressed his intention to continue building on the strong foundation laid during Mbah’s leadership.

Mbah, visibly moved by the accolades, praised Dr. Husseini for his leadership and dedication. “I don’t think the Board has ever been more blessed than now with Dr. Shaibu Husseini at the helm. You are the most qualified person to reposition the Board,” Mbah remarked.

In his address, Dr. Husseini assured the staff of his commitment to their welfare, echoing sentiments from Mbah’s tenure.

He highlighted Mbah’s notable achievements, pointing out, “It’s on record that during your tenure, the Board had the most programmes.” Dr. Husseini also announced plans to revive the online classification infrastructure originally established by Mbah, as part of the Board’s shift from censorship to classification.
