THREE TRAIN trips will run on the Lagos Ibadan Train Service corridor on Monday 23 March 2026 following high passenger turnout during the Sallah travel period.

JKNewsMedia.com reports that the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) announced the schedule in a statement issued by its Chief Public Relations Officer, Calistus Unyinmadu, stating that the additional trip is intended to ease passenger movement and provide more travel options for commuters returning after the Eid el Fitr celebrations.

“Under this arrangement, train departures from the Lagos end, Mobolaji Johnson Station, Ebute Metta, will be at 7:45am, 1:40pm, and 4:00pm, while from the Ibadan end, Obafemi Awolowo Station, Moniya, departures will be at 8:00am, 10:50am and 4:30pm,” the statement read.

The corporation stated that its management remains committed to safe, reliable, and efficient rail transport services.

Passengers were advised to arrive early at stations, comply with ticketing and security procedures, and plan their journeys accordingly.

“The Corporation appreciates the continued patronage of its services and wishes all passengers a safe and pleasant journey,” the statement concluded.
