JOURNALISTS AND media organisations can now register to cover the Ekiti State Governorship Election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (NEC) has announced.

The Commission says the Online Media Accreditation Portal opens today, 8th April 2026.

It also says that the accreditation window closes at midnight on 7th June 2026.

A short statement issued by INEC notes” “The portal started, and will automatically shut down at the deadline.

“Applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.

“The portal urged applicants to submit early and avoid waiting until the final hour, the Commission noted.
