NEWLY SWORN-IN local government chairmen has been urged to partner with the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to enhance the basic education sector as appealed to by its Chairman, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran.

Speaking with the 33 local government leaders, Dr. Adeniran congratulated them on their recent inauguration and emphasized the potential benefits of a collaborative effort to improve public primary schools across the state.

On stressing his discussions with the chairmen, Dr. Adeniran expressed optimism about the future of basic education in Oyo State, describing them as crucial players and encouraged their communities to support government initiatives and educational programmes.

He noted that the timing of their swearing-in aligns perfectly with the board’s goals of fostering seamless partnerships throughout the local government areas.

He also attributed the electoral success of these chairmen to Governor Seyi Makinde’s commendable track record, which significantly influenced the polls and encouraged them to follow the governor’s example by implementing grassroots policies that spur development.

“It signifies promising developments ahead. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the newly inaugurated chairmen and urge for enhanced collaboration because your victories are a testament to the effective leadership in our state and the continuous progress that has resonated with the public. I encourage you to emulate the governor’s approach and create enduring legacies within your local governments,” Dr. Adeniran stated. “

The chairmen, all representing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), secured their positions in the recent council elections, sweeping victories across all 33 local government areas in Oyo State, according to the press release issued by Oyo SUBEB.
