THE NIGERIAN economy thrives on the contributions of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), responsible for generating jobs and boosting economic activities.

This crucial sector has seen growth, with employment contributions rising by 3.5 percent.

Recognizing these efforts, Polaris Bank has been named Nigeria’s Best Bank for MSME Lending at the 2024 MSME Finance Awards in Lagos.

Polaris Bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs through sustainable funding strategies was highlighted at the event.

The bank’s financing initiatives have empowered many small businesses, promoting financial inclusion across Nigeria.

These efforts also contributed to its winning the prestigious award at the weekend.

With MSMEs accounting for nearly 48 percent of Nigeria’s GDP and employing over 80 percent of its workforce, Polaris Bank continues to play a significant role in advancing economic growth.

The bank’s dedication has earned it accolades, including previous MSME Bank of the Year awards from BusinessDAY in 2022 and 2023.
